The prerequisite for attending this course (we are guided by what the professional bodies and insurance companies ask for)
A certificate in an Anatomy and Physiology and Full Body Massage qualification (Swedish, Holistic or Body). We accept one certificate which combines both or individual certificates if you have gained these qualifications separately. It can be an ITEC, VTCT, BTEC or similar qualification.
Many people who cannot afford the London prices for the Sports massage training go to Devon to train as it is the same ITEC qualification but far cheaper. We also have options for B & B's where you can stay and this keeps the prices down for this training, these can be found on the venue page for the Devon training school.

ITEC LEVEL 3 SPORTS MASSAGE DIPLOMA
Pre-requisite: Body Massage Diploma including Anatomy and Physiology
Sports massage is an excellent internationally recognised qualification for
massage therapists who wish to work along side the sports industry. This
course is for therapists who wish not only to provide treatments for
sports injuries and improve sporting performance but to successfully
treat numerous "every day musculoskeletal injuries"
What will I Learn on the sports massage course?
You will develop advanced remedial and deep tissue techniques to provide more effective treatment before and after sport or exercise, including Injury evaluation, management and treatment.

Tutor: Gail Lowe is a qualified nurse and remedial therapist with over twenty years clinical experience. She has worked with the medical profession, as well as Osteopaths and chiropractors over the years. All students will benefit from her vast experience in a relaxed, fun, but professional atmosphere.

- Anatomy and Physiology of Musculoskeletal Joints
Examinations Consists of:
- Theory examination: One hour, 50 multiple choice questions
- Practical examination: One hour
- Pre- event treatment - 10 minutes
- Post event treatment - 10 minutes
- Observation - 10 minutes
- Treatment of allocated injury
- Case studies

You can book 24hrs online with a credit or debit card using our safe World Pay payment system. A small deposit will secure you chosen place. If you wish to pay the deposit by cheque please fill out a booking form with your details first and you will be taken to the cheque payment page with further information.
Final payment is 14 days before the course or 4 weeks if it is an ITEC/BTEC course - details will be emailed to you for this by the tutor once you have booked & paid your deposit. For last minute bookings (you can book the evening before) you can pay cash or cheque on the day. Due to small classes places are only booked once the deposit has been paid & it is on a first come first served basis, early bookings are advised due to limited places.
