The Hopi Ear Candling Course is a popular course for therapists offering many benefits. It is a wonderfully relaxing treatment and excellent to use with family and friends or for any therapist to train and add to their existing repertoire.

The skills you will learn on this Hopi Ear Candling course can be used to treat many conditions and includes a soothing face and neck massage. This course is available to complete beginners as well as trained therapists.

 

This course is open to complete beginners or existing therapists, no previous experience required to attend. 

Also known as Thermo Auricular Therapy, Hopi Ear Candling is an excellent and non-invasive treatment suitable for problems and conditions related to the ear, nose and throat areas: Some of the conditions it is useful for are listed below;

Tinnitus, ear wax, glue ear
Sore throats, hay fever
Headache, migraine
Rhinitis, sinusitis  
Catarrh, asthma
Regulating pressure in ears and head
Anxiety and stress
Stimulates lymphatic system

Once you have completed the course you will receive your certificate on the day of training. This is an accredited course therefore you will be able to obtain insurance and use this therapy with the general public and charge for it.

The qualification gained from the following course will only be accepted for professional practice and insurance if the student holds the pre-requisites of A&P and any accredited therapy qualification.

HOWEVER IF YOU WISH TO JOIN A PROFESSIONAL BODY AND YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS TRAINING YOU CAN REGISTER WITH THE CMA OR THE BEAUTY GUILD WHO DO NOT HAVE ANY REQUIREMENTS FOR YOU TO JOIN. YOU ARE ABLE TO OBTAIN THEIR COVER WITHOUT A CERTIFICATE IN MASSAGE SO IF YOU ARE A COMPLETE BEGINNER THEY WILL ACCEPT YOU.

The Hopi Ear Candling Course format is as follows:

Students' registration and introduction to the course.
Theory of the candles and marketing.
Demonstration by the tutor of the whole treatment - application of the candles and face/neck massage sequence.
Revision of the theory of the candles
30 minutes written paper based on the theory and practical demonstration.
A paired student session which is the practical assessment.

Students should bring pen/pencil, paper, towel/blanket and own lunch. Loose/comfortable clothing should be worn and during the practical work minimal clothing is removed.

Because massage will be undertaken, normal standards of cleanliness will be expected including short fingernails.

One Day Hopi Ear Candling CPD Insurable Diploma Course £130.00 - Certificate given on the day of training and a detailed manual.  You can use this therapy with the general public and charge for this with our training.

The prerequisite for attending this course (we are guided by what the professional bodies and insurance companies ask for)
- None (ideal for a beginner with no previous massage experience or an experienced therapist) 

This is a one day Diploma Practitioners Course - No case studies required

We specialize in providing small classes which makes us one of the most popular training schools. We take a maximum of 6 students for this course to provide individual and personal attention.

They are so confident that one day is sufficient for many of our courses (due to the small numbers they teach) that if they feel you need to come back to repeat the course, you can do this free of charge.

We take only up to 6 people per class for our one day courses (8 for Indian head massage) it will show how many places are left for each date showing and it updates live on our site as someone books so you know how many places are left available.

HISTORY OF EAR CANDLING

Ear Candling is an ancient form of treatment more commonly associated with the natives of North America. However it has been used in many other cultures over thousands of years.

The Candles are cylindrical with hollow centres and are made of natural substances such as honey, beeswax and medicinal herbs. Once lit, they are inserted in the ear and are used both to cleanse and to regulate the pressure system in the inner ear. The treatment can be used for many conditions including; headaches, migraines, sinusitis, rhinitis and tinnitus. Snoring can be reduced and children suffering from glue ear can be helped. 

Complete beginners are able to attend this course without any previous qualifications

 

Each student is supplied with a pair of Biosun Hopi Ear Candles to use throughout the course and the practical session in the afternoon.

There are Biosun Ear Candles available to purchase at the end of the day. 

All the A & P you require will be included in your course manuals.

This therapy lasts for 30 min's and the tutor will advise you about charging your clients, as well as insurance cover information if you are a new therapist.

13 CPD course points has been awarded for this course, we take no more than 6 students per class to ensure individual attention.

All our tutors teach the same course and the subject matter is consistent so it will not matter which venue you choose. With every Gateway course you attend you will receive a comprehensive manual, this covers the course material and the techniques you will learn on the day in detail.

Please note you do not need insurance to attend our courses, however to practice on the general public after your training you will require insurance, information regarding this will be given on the day.

How to Book - Scroll to the bottom of this page select a venue of interest and you will be taken to the dates available - all you have to do is select the date you wish to book and follow the easy instructions.

You can book 24hrs online with a credit or debit card using our safe World Pay payment system. A small deposit will secure you chosen place.

If you wish to pay the deposit by cheque please fill out a booking form with your details first and you will be taken to the cheque payment page with further information.

Final payment is 14 days before the course or 4 weeks if it is an ITEC course - details will be emailed to you for this by the tutor once you have booked & paid your deposit.

For last minute bookings (you can book the evening before) you can pay cash or cheque on the day. Due to small classes places are only booked once the deposit has been paid & it is on a first come first served basis, early bookings are advised due to limited places.
