The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) Information:

The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) accept Gatewayworkshops™ courses as a Postgraduate courses, subject to the Federation of Holistic Therapists member having the prerequisite qualifications indicated below if already registered with (FHT) to achieve an insurable status upon successful completion of the course. Therefore it is recommended that all FHT members contact the (FHT) in advance to ensure that they have relevant prerequisites. If you meet this requirement, they will then be happy to add this to the insurance you hold with them.



Please be aware you do not have to be registered with FHT to attend our courses, but for those who are you can add this training to your cover. However if you are a complete beginner, the tutor will give you all the details you need for the associations and insurance cover on the day of your training. Many Professional Bodies/Associations & Insurance Companies cover our courses, which makes them accessible to all.

Our Courses are recognised & registered with the following Professional Bodies: The CMA (Complementary Medical Association), FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists), The GPBT(The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists) & Embody.

PLEASE NOTE TO BE ABLE TO JOIN THE FHT, EMBODY OR THE BEAUTY GUILD THEIR REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION IS A QUALIFICATION IN MASSAGE/ A & P.

HOWEVER IF YOU WISH TO JOIN A PROFESSIONAL BODY AND YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS TRAINING YOU CAN REGISTER WITH THE CMA OR THE BEAUTY GUILD WHO DO NOT HAVE ANY REQUIREMENTS FOR YOU TO JOIN. YOU ARE ABLE TO OBTAIN THEIR COVER WITHOUT A CERTIFICATE IN MASSAGE SO IF YOU ARE A COMPLETE BEGINNER THEY WILL ACCEPT YOU.

Should you not have the prerequisite qualifications specified by the FHT you may have to seek insurance elsewhere for this therapy to be covered by insurance allowing you to work on clients.

Hot Stone Facial Massage : An Accredited Full Body Massage Therapy Qualification – is listed by FHT as Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Reflexology course : An Accredited reflexology Qualification – is listed by FHT as Advanced Reflexology

Hot Stone Massage : An Accredited Full Body Massage Therapy Qualification – is listed by FHT as Stone Therapy

Indian Head Massage : An Accredited Massage Therapy Qualification – is accredited by FHT as Indian Head Massage
We are delighted to announce (for those waiting to hear) the Indian head massage course was accredited and accepted by FHT on Friday 25th July 2008. 

Please be aware that due to FHT guidelines, (for the Indian head massage course only) on succesful completion of your practical assessment (on the day of the course) you will be required to send in 3 case studies to your course tutor - on succesful completion of these case studies your Practitioners's certificate will be sent by return post.

For all other Gateway Courses, you will receive your certificate on the day of your training and no case studies are required.
